Michael Griswold is the Deputy Director of the Office of Strategy & Innovation with the Mecklenburg County (NC) Government, where he has nearly ten years of experience in local government strategy, performance, and business operations.

Michael started his career with Mecklenburg County’s Criminal Justice Services department supporting data-driven justice policy and reforms. Michael then transitioned to Human Resources where he led the department’s budget, finance, and contracting operations as well as enterprise human capital data analytics and strategic initiatives for the County. In his current role, Michael leads a team that support enterprise strategic business planning, performance management, and evaluation efforts.

Michael holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Clemson University (Go Tigers!)
