Event Note
We will be participating in a School Tool Drive with Classroom Central for this event - see below on how you can bring supplies to the event for our drive!
Additionally, we will be holding a 50/50 raffle with 50% of the proceeds going to the SHRM Foundation.
Classroom Central
Charlotte Area Society for Human Resource Management is partnering with Classroom Central to help provide supplies to support our future workforce. Classroom Central fosters equity in education by providing teachers and students with the free resources they need to succeed. Classroom Central serves teachers and students in nearly 200 schools across six regional school districts. They distribute supplies through their brick and mortar Free Store, Mobile Free Store, Curbside Pick-Up, Subscription Service and several other community-supported initiatives. Since opening in 2002, Classroom Central has distributed over $74 million worth of free school supplies.
We will be collecting school supplies to donate at our July anniversary event. Alternatively, a monetary donation to Classroom Central can be made here (https://secure.qgiv.com/event/9stc2023/team/929706/). Classroom Central turns every $1 donated into $9 worth of school supplies for a student in need.
The most needed supplies include: Pencils, crayons, colored markers, highlighters, dry erase markers, composition notebooks, filler paper, one subject notebooks, and pocket folders.
